The Director takes Yissah Foundation to 2025 Anglican Mission Conference and Synod in Livonia, Michigan – USA

Stewart Zimba who is a founder and Executive Director of Yissah Foundation Secondary school (YFSS) in Malawi and also a Church Elder of Tree of Life Anglican in Mishawaka, Indiana - USA took a bold step to present the ARDF funded project to the Mission and Synod conference which was held at His Church Anglican in Livonia, Michigan, USA. The conference whose theme was ADGLY Mission conference and Synod was attended by 260 high profiled dignitaries from the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes such as Archbishops, Bishops and Clergies.
Despite discussion on diocese matters and initiatives, The Director of Yissah Foundation also presented the progress of the project called ‘’New secondary school increases educational access’’, the project also aims at accelerating evangelism and socio – economic empowerment through education. This project is funded by Anglican Relief Development Fund (ARDF) with a total of $83,913 for the construction of school classrooms and administration block, water point, head teacher’s house, toilets and septic tank. In his presentation, Mr Stewart Zimba indicated the background of the Yissah foundation secondary school, its project partners and donors, current progress, challenges and project roadmap.
After the presentation, Bishop Mark of Anglican Diocese of Great Lakes provided a space for the participants to ask questions and he also plead with members of the conference to support Yissah foundation secondary school in any other way. We thank God that through bishop’s remarks Emily donated $20, she promised to continue supporting Yissah Foundation secondary school activities and others made a commitment to support YFSS. Similar conference will be held next year from 22 – 24 October, 2026 venue to be determined in later stage
