Open Your Heart, Support Your Church. YFSS set a Pace
In its commitment to accelerate evangelism, Yissah Foundation Secondary school Board of Directors as responsible stewards responded to St Augustine’s Anglican Church request by handing over 75 timber (4X2 planks) worth $834 for roofing of St Augustine Anglican church. The Board of directors and its subsidiary companies Yissah Logistics LLC in USA and Yissah Logistics Group Ltd in Malawi made a finance contribution to respond the church’s request made by the church leadership.
During the handover ceremony of the donation Mr Dellings Phiri said, the Board members thought it very important to respond to the request made by the church because the request is in-line with Yissah Foundation secondary mission, objectives and teachings which is accelerating evangelism and promoting Anglican doctrines among students and communities in its impact area. YFSS also believe in mission fulfillment that a church building is a vital tool for fulfilling the church’s’ mission and outreach. Which means that without a functional physical space, the church’s ability to serve those in need is severely. We were also overwhelmed with church members’ commitment and hard work who have managed to build the church up to roofing level. This is something which we need to embrace, Said Mr Phiri
In response to the support made by YFSS; the Church Lay Leader Mr Nicholas Boma said he was very happy that Yissah Foundation Board members have responded to their request in the time the church need the support most. As you are all aware that we are approaching the rain season, how could the church operate without a roof? He also recall that the church made several requests to some non-governmental organizations and Political party Member of Parliament aspirants but none of them come forth. Seeing Yissah Foundation Board of Directors giving us this is a blessing we need to cherish and we are not taking thus support for granted but God Almighty should continue blessing the Yissah foundation secondary school Board Members and its Matron Mrs Mary Yissah.
