VISION

To empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them, as life-long learners, to participate in and contribute to the global world.

MISSION

Our mission is to establish a fully equipped secondary campus in Kalusa to provide high quality education in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment that builds a foundation for life-long learning.

EDUCATIONAL GAP

In T.A. Kalimanjira, the lack of any Secondary School beyond the primary level forces students to travel great distances—or even leave Malawi entirely—just to continue their education.

OUR SOLUTION

By donating Yissah family land and forming a local board of family and community leaders, we mobilize prayer, expertise, and grassroots support to build the school.

Core Values

A good education is the basis for a number of important life skills. It is not only a foundation for knowledge, but also the development of social skills, civic participation, and independence. Secondary education plays a fundamental but complex role in preparing young people for the labour market, especially for people who leave secondary education for a job. Below are our Core Values:

Accountability

We remain accountable and transparent in all we do, building trust through honesty and openness.

Responsible

We are responsible, taking ownership of our roles and acting with integrity in every task.

Concern for others

We show concern for others, promoting kindness, empathy, and care for those around us.

Competitive

We are competitive, empowering our students to excel locally and beyond with confidence and skill.

Innovative

We are innovative, using fresh ideas and smart solutions to enhance education and impact.

Service Oriented

We are service-oriented, always ready to meet the needs of our learners and community with dedication and love.

Yissah Foundation

Yissah Foundation Secondary School is a vision born from the Yissah family's deep roots in T.A. Kalimanjira, Malawi. With no secondary schools in the area, students must travel far from home to continue their education. To change this, the family donated part of their land to build a school and formed a local board with broad community support.

The school will serve students from Kalusa and surrounding areas, offering both day and boarding options. With a fundraising goal of $1.3 million, the Yissah family has begun the work, trusting God to provide through partners in Malawi and beyond. One of the founders, Stewart Yissah Zimba, is a lay-leader at Tree of Life, and we’re honored to join him in bringing lasting impact through education.
