Foundation Embraces Agriculture Ahead of School Construction

Nkhotakota, Malawi
Ahead of the school construction project, Yissah Foundation has initiated agricultural activities on the project site to make productive use of the land and empower the local community. With financial support from Yissah Logistics LLC and the Foundation’s Board of Directors, the initiative focused on cultivating maize and cassava.
Funds were utilized to purchase maize seeds, cassava stems, fertilizers, and to compensate local laborers who participated in the planting process. This agricultural effort reflects the Foundation commitment to sustainable land use, food security, and economic empowerment prior to major construction activities.
The produce is expected to supplement the Foundation food aid efforts and provide learning opportunities for students in agriculture-related fields once the school is operational.
